A museum of representative Japanese paintings

‣ The building itself is the design of Taniguchi Yoshio (who also designed the New York Museum of Modern Art in 2004), who set out to build the world’s most beautiful art museum. In the station plaza facing the museum there are many large murals and objects that were created by the artist himself.

‣ The museum shop sells original products and catalogs, and together with the MIMOCA cafe restaurant, is very popular.
