Takamatsu Central Shopping Area｜高松中央商店街
Refers to the shopping areas of downtown Takamatsu. There are eight areas: Hyogomachi, Kataharamachi West, Kataharamachi East, Marugamemachi, Lion Street, Minami Shinmachi, Jobanmachi and Tamachi. Most of these are arcades (*walking roads covered by continuous arched roof), the longest is 2.7 km. It is said that this is the longest in Japan. In the shopping areas you will find restaurants and bars, general shops, salons, video game centers, movie theatres and others. In total these reach aproximately 860 shops. Nearby there are department stores and art museums as well. In 2015, the Kawaramachi FLAG was opened in the Kotoden Kawaramachi Station building.  You can enjoy a full day on-foot here.
