Experience the energy and culture of Awa Odori throughout the year.
Awaodori Kaikan is a cultural attraction where visitors can enjoy Tokushima’s signature performing art, Awa Odori, throughout the year. The building houses a theater for close-up live performances, a museum introducing the dance’s history, costumes, and musical instruments, and the lower station of the ropeway to Mount Bizan.

1. Watch authentic Awa Odori up close
Daytime performances feature the resident troupe Awa no Kaze, while renowned troupes perform at night. Feel the lively festival music and powerful dancing from your seat.
2. Discover its history and culture
At the Awa Odori Museum, costumes, props, traditional and modern instruments, and interactive exhibits offer an engaging introduction to the dance’s development.
3. Look out over Tokushima from Mount Bizan
Board the Awagin Bizan Ropeway from the lower station on the fifth floor. At the summit, panoramic views extend across the Tokushima Plain and Yoshino River.
