Experience full-scale ceramic reproductions of the world’s great masterpieces at this art museum in Naruto.

The Otsuka Museum of Art displays more than 1,000 full-scale ceramic reproductions of Western masterpieces held by over 190 museums in 26 countries. From immersive environmental displays recreating spaces such as the Sistine Chapel to works spanning antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the modern and contemporary eras, visitors can tour the history of Western art without leaving Japan.

The approximately 4-kilometer viewing route features immersive “environmental displays” that recreate ancient ruins and chapels as complete spaces, along with chronological displays tracing the history of art through works by Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, and others. Visitors can experience a journey through renowned museums from around the world.
