Sea Gulls Parking Lot|カモメの駐車場

Sea Gulls Parking Lot|カモメの駐車場
It takes 20 minutes from Takamatsu Port by a ferry. About 300 seagulls line the seawall and storm surge barrier at Megi Port. This is one of the artworks at Setouchi Triennale. When the wind blows, they change direction in unison, giving shape to the wind. Seagulls are always watching over smiles of tourists and ferries coming and going in the calm Seto Inland Sea.

Megijima`s Appeal

‣ This is Megijima’s special landscape, and it is famous in Japan as being the location of Onigashima (The Island of Ogres) in the fairytale Momo-taro. In the center of the island is a huge cave where an ogre is said to have lived.

‣ The observation tower is located at 188 meters atop Washigamine mountain. Here you can take in a panoramic 360 degree view of the ocean and its islands.
