Shimantogawa|四万十川

Shimantogawa|四万十川
There are 200 species of aquatic life living here. The water is very clear, so you can easily see the fish swimming in the water. There are many submerged bridges (bridges that have no railing and are submerged when the water level rises) that are still being used, and these are part of the Shimantogawa traditional landscape. There is also instruction in canoeing and rafting.   These are appropriate for beginners as well. You can go camping in the upper plains area of the river, and head down to the ocean. Additionally, you can travel down the rapids during high water levels. There are also short, easier courses to choose from. You can rent gear and clothes to protect against the weather. If you choose a time with higher temperature, you can enjoy yourself here during the winter as well.
