Takamatsu Central Shopping Street is the collective name for eight shopping streets in the city center: Hyogomachi, Kataharamachi West, Kataharamachi East, Marugamemachi, Lion Street, Minamishinmachi, Jobanmachi and Tamachi. Most are covered arcades, with a combined length of approximately 2.7 km—the longest in Japan. Around 860 restaurants, retailers, salons, entertainment venues and other businesses line the streets, with department stores and museums nearby.

The longest shopping arcade in Japan
