Ni-ju-shi-no-Hitomi Eigamura|二十四の瞳映画村

Ni-ju-shi-no-Hitomi Eigamura|二十四の瞳映画村
This is the place where the 1987 Japanese film Ni-ju-shi-no-Hitomi was shot.
The film is set during World War II, and tells the tragic story of one female teacher and her 12 students – a story of teacher-student love in war times. The opening set was reconstructed here, reproducing the village where the story took place in those times. There are many things to see here – the wooden school Misaki-no-Bunkyojo; the Tsuboi Sakae Bungakukan, which introduces the author of the original story; the Gallery Matsutakeza Eigakan, a theatre where the film is shown constantly; the Cinema-no-an, which introduces famous Japanese movies from primarily the 1950s; and the main actress Takamine Hideko Gallery and the collocated Book Cafe.
