Nakatsu Bansho-en is a strolling pond garden of approximately 50,000 square meters, created in 1688 by Kyogoku Takatoyo, the second lord of the Marugame Domain from the Kyogoku family. Walk among ponds and islands modeled on Lake Biwa and the Eight Views of Omi, the vermilion Togetsu Bridge, and the Great Umbrella Pine while enjoying scenery that changes with the seasons.
