Rapeseed spread from its original home along the Meditteranean coast and blooms in white, yellow, and purple varieties. Those grown specifically for ornamental purposes are known for particularly beautiful blossoms, and they are grown all across Japan. Before blooming, the stems, leaves, and sometimes buds can be enjoyed in a culinary capacity. Dishes made with rapeseed are characteristically bittersweet. 

A perennial with about 20 native species known in Europe/Western Asia and one in China, the Christmas Rose is a worldwide favorite. It earned the name "Christmas Rose" because it blooms in the depths of winter. Some species bloom around April, and these are known in England as "Lenten Roses".

Twent-five to thirty species of narcissus can be found in the Meditteranean coastal region, and one species can be found growing wild in Japan. There are six petals and sepals to each flower, which flare out around the corona. The shape of the corona varies between species, and its colors vary from yellow, orange, pink, etc., which contribute to this diverse flower's appeal.

It is characterized by the small white flowers that bloom along stems during its flowering period; the flowers' resemblance to snow dusting the stems gave it its Japanese name, Yukiyanagi. 

With fifteen species in East Asia and three in China alone, the rhododendron has a strong presence in Asian landscaping and is a beloved ornamental in Japan. Well-known for its shocking red flowers, the rhododendron has become increasingly popular in recent years,  and is a favorite in public spaces and parks. In some areas, the leaves also unfurl at the same time as the flowers bloom, so the contrast between stately green and bright red makes for an especially beautiful sight.

Lupines mainly come from Western North America, with some species being found in South America, South Africa, and the Mediterranean. Used long ago for both food and fertilizer, lupines were brought to Japan in the Meiji period. Today, they are cultivated for their beauty rather than function. In cold climates, their roots hibernate and they can be grown as perennials, but lupines don't handle heat well, so they are usually annuals in warmer climes. 

Phlox subulata is a perennial plant what growing like spreading out to crawl on the ground. It is native to northern USA. The stem does not stand up and the plant is cultivated as a front-of-border or groundcover plant. The name phlox is derived from the Greek word phlogos meaning flame in reference to the intense flower colors of some varieties. It is named Shibazakura in Japanese because the flower shaped like cherry blossoms covers the whole area like a lawn.

There are ten known species of Nemophila native to North America, and they are annuals that wither soon after their flowers bloom. Their clear, blue flowers are like fairy sprites with their impish charm, and they are often used in spring flower arrangements and planters. Their leaves are ornate, and the plants naturally cluster for luxurious growth. 

Wisteria floribunda is a species of flowering plant in the pea family Fabaceae. 
It fan-shaped hangs down florets like butterflies between April - June and starts to bloom from the trunk to the tip. According to the characteristics, it is common for Wisteria floribunda to be made for shelf tailor due to sun protection. Also, it is the pea family so bears long and narrow 10-20 cm fruits look like green beans.

Button is peony button genus of deciduous small shrub. Button blooms beautiful and large like a rose between spring and rainy season. A large flower petal looks like thin silk but actually when you touch it, it is thick. This is Button’s characteristic. The peony flower native to China has long been known as the “King of Flowers” ​​in Japan and other Asian regions. A large and generous flower figure has a dignity and personality with just one wheel.
